Going forward

The BCG certification process curtailed my blog posting over the last year but now I am back in the swing of things. I am doing some much needed maintenance and updates to the blog and I am also going to start posting again on a regular basis.  If there is a particular topic you would like me to address just send me an E-Mail.

  1. Michele,
First, congratulations on this achievement. I know it has taken a lot of work and true dedication to get through it. I considered the process a few years ago, and probably have enough background to see it through, but at my age now and current level of genealogical activity I don't think it would serve any purpose for me.

I did have a few questions about the process that perhaps you could dedicate a blog post to. Now that you have the CG credentials, what are you actually going to do with them? Are there projects you can now take on that you could not do before? Do you plan on beefing up a consulting practice, again that you could not do before? Will you be publishing more articles, again (sorry) that you could not do before? In short, what meaning would it have to the large population of family historians that just want to explore their past?

    1. I don't know if I have enough info yet to dedicate to a blog post so I will answer you here :) I do have one thing in the works and if that pans out I will be talking about that on the blog, but in general things are not going to change radically for me. I work full time for Legacy so I rarely take clients anymore. The case has to really interest me for me to take something on. I do plan on doing more writing for publication and I have some articles in the works now.
